Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data AI Gigs Daily collects, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We collect as little as we can: you can browse every gig on this site without giving us anything.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Odyssey Strategy (SASU), 9 rue de Mulhouse, 54000 Nancy, France, RCS Nancy 107 611 089, which publishes aigigsdaily.com.
For any question or request about your data: hello@aigigsdaily.com.
What we collect and why
1. Email alerts (the sign-up form on /start)
- Data: your email address, the skills you picked and your country. When you confirm, we also keep the date of your confirmation and the text you agreed to, as proof of your consent.
- Purpose: to email you when a new gig that matches your skills and country opens.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give it by ticking a box that is never ticked in advance and then clicking the link in the confirmation email. Nothing is sent before you confirm.
- How often: at most one email a day, and only when there is a new gig that matches your choices.
- Unsubscribing: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also write to hello@aigigsdaily.com. Withdrawing your consent does not affect emails sent before.
- How long we keep it:
- while you are subscribed;
- if you never confirm your address, it is deleted after 30 days;
- once you unsubscribe, we delete your skills and country and keep only your email address, marked as "unsubscribed", so that we never write to you again. This is based on our legitimate interest in respecting your choice (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you want this address deleted too, tell us, knowing that we will then have no way of making sure you are never emailed again.
2. "Email me this gig"
- Data: your email address and the gig you asked for.
- Purpose: to send you that one gig, once, because you asked for it. You are not added to any mailing list.
- Legal basis: taking the step you requested (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the form (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- How long we keep it: 30 days at most, then deleted. We keep it for this short period only to limit abuse (no more than 3 emails per hour to the same address).
3. Audience measurement (Umami)
- Data: pages viewed, the site or link you came from, the type of device and browser, your country, and clicks on buttons such as Apply, Share or Search.
- Purpose: to know which pages and gigs are useful, in the form of aggregated statistics.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- How it works: Umami does not use cookies. According to Umami, it does not store your IP address and does not follow you across other websites. We only see totals, not individual profiles. Access to the statistics dashboard is private.
- How long we keep it: 6 months, then deleted automatically.
4. Technical logs (Netlify)
- Data: like any web server, our host automatically records technical information when you load a page: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type.
- Purpose: to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- How long we keep it: for the limited period set by Netlify's own policy.
5. Loading the list of gigs (Google)
- Data: to show the latest gigs, your browser downloads the list from a Google Sheets file. As with any file loaded from another server, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information at that moment. We do not send Google anything else.
- Purpose: to display up-to-date gigs.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing current listings (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
6. Preferences saved in your browser
The country and skills you choose on the site are saved in your own browser (local storage), so you do not have to pick them again on your next visit. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. They are needed for the feature you asked for. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Who receives your data
Only Odyssey Strategy and the following service providers, each acting on our instructions and only for the purpose described:
| Provider | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) | Sending emails and managing the alert list | France (EU) |
| Netlify, Inc. | Website hosting and technical logs | United States |
| Umami | Audience measurement | European Union |
| Serving the list of gigs (Google Sheets) | United States |
We never sell or rent your data, and we never share your email address with the platforms whose gigs we list.
When you click Apply, you leave AI Gigs Daily and go to the platform's website (for example Mercor or micro1). What you do there is governed by that platform's own privacy policy. The same goes for Google Calendar and the sharing buttons if you use them.
Transfers outside the European Union
Netlify and Google are based in the United States, and Umami may process data there. When data is transferred outside the EU, these transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Cookies
AI Gigs Daily does not use any advertising or audience-measurement cookies. That is why you do not see a cookie banner.
What the site does store on your device:
| Name | Where | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
aigd_pays |
Your browser (local storage) | Remembers the country you chose, to show the gigs open to you | Until you clear it |
aigd_skills |
Your browser (local storage) | Remembers the skills you picked | Until you clear it |
These are needed for features you asked for, so under French and EU rules they do not require consent.
Our audience measurement (Umami) works without cookies (see above).
Websites you reach from AI Gigs Daily (the platforms, Google Calendar, social networks) may set their own cookies. Their own policies apply.
If we ever add a tool that needs your consent, we will ask for it first, with an option to refuse that is as easy as accepting, and we will update this page.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- object to how we use it, including at any time for the email alerts;
- restrict its use;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it;
- give instructions about what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@aigigsdaily.com. We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm that the email address is yours before acting.
If you think your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, cnil.fr), or with the authority of the EU country where you live.
Security
Our email service key is kept on the server and never exposed in the pages of the site. The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to our accounts with the providers above is limited to Odyssey Strategy.
Age
AI Gigs Daily is meant for adults. The platforms listed only hire people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects the email alerts, we will tell subscribers by email.
